REGISTRATION on Friday, August 7th kicks-off with pre-registration check-in and on-site registration from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm at the SPI Chamber of Commerce located at 610 Padre Blvd. Pre-Registration, On-Site Registration, Raffle Sales, Merchandise Sales, and the Challenge will be available 10am – 7pm. Due to the SPI Chamber of Commerce building being limited to 50% capacity, it is strongly encouraged that tournament participants come as early as possible to avoid lines later in the day. Thank you for your understanding.

Description
We are excited to announce the 39th Annual Ladies Kingfish Tournament will take place as planned. After receiving word from the Texas Attorney General’s Office that fishing tournaments fall under Governor Abbott’s Executive Order GA-28, 1-F (recreational sports programs for youths and adults) the decision was made to adjust and adapt. While there will be numerous changes in this year’s tournament; we have adjusted and adapted because the ladies want to fish! All adjustments made are in line with current mandates, and include no social or general public gatherings at this year’s tournament. We will be following CDC guidelines throughout the fishing tournament to ensure the safety of our staff, volunteers, anglers, captains and crews.
There is still time to sign up for the 39th Annual Ladies Kingfish Tournament scheduled for August 7-9, 2020 on beautiful South Padre Island, and registration forms are available on the Chamber’s website at www.spichamber.com, and don’t forget to follow us @LadiesKingfishTournament.
The tournament continues to be divided into two divisions, Bay and Offshore. Anglers fishing in the Bay Division will vie for trophies in the categories of Redfish, Trout and Flounder, while anglers in the Offshore Division compete in the categories of Bonito, Blackfin Tuna and Dolphin. Trophies will be awarded to the first three places in each category, along with Grand Champion Bay and Offshore. BOTH offshore and bay will be eligible to fish for the Kingfish and vie for the coveted title of “Queen of the Kings”. There will also be a First and Second Runner-up awarded for the Kingfish.
