The South Padre Island Chamber of Commerce is seeking a creative, organized, and driven Digital Marketing Coordinator to support marketing initiatives, social media strategy, communications, and production of the Guide to South Padre Island.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys content creation, understands digital analytics, and wants to make an impact in a vibrant coastal business community.
Key Responsibilities
Digital Marketing & Communications

Execute social media, email, website, and digital content strategies

Create engaging content (graphics, video, newsletters, blogs, ads)

Manage content calendars and ensure brand consistency

Monitor and respond to social media engagement

Track analytics and produce performance reports

Assist in promoting Chamber programs, events, and membership initiatives
Guide to South Padre Island

Support production, promotion, and content development

Assist with advertising outreach and sponsor recognition

Coordinate with designers, printers, and advertisers

Track performance metrics and renewal efforts
-
Help modernize and enhance Guide content annually
Events & Member Engagement

Promote Chamber events including Leadership, Gala, and signature programs

Support event marketing logistics and sponsor visibility
-
Represent the Chamber professionally at community functions as needed
Qualifications
-
2–4 years of digital marketing or social media experience

Strong writing, editing, and communication skills

Experience with Canva (Adobe Creative Suite a plus)

Familiarity with WordPress and social media management tools (Hootsuite preferred)

Comfortable with photography/video content creation

Highly organized with strong attention to detail

Flexible schedule, including occasional evenings/weekends
Degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
Requirements

Compensation
$15–$18 per hour (based on experience)
