This year’s event features a timed run, a variety of awards, and a 1-mile option

Mark your calendars for Saturday, October 12th, as Sea Turtle Inc. hosts its 3rd Annual Kemp’s Krawl 5K Walk/Run on South Padre Island! The fun-filled event starts at the Hilton Garden Inn at 8:00 a.m., and participants of all ages and fitness levels are invited to join the excitement while supporting a great cause.

Wendy Knight, CEO of Sea Turtle Inc., shares her excitement about this year’s event:

"This year is going to be bigger and better than any other! We have added a competitive angle with timed runs and 14 different award categories. We also remain a family-focused event with an untimed option, family run, conservation education stations along the way and a new 1 mile option! This is a unique running event on South Padre Island, as every dollar goes to support our work here at Sea Turtle Inc. This event plays a vital role in funding our conservation work, and after a very difficult nesting season, we are deeply grateful to all participants, the City of South Padre Island, the Hilton Garden Inn, and our sponsors for their incredible support."

All proceeds will go directly toward supporting Sea Turtle Inc.’s mission of conserving and 
rehabilitating endangered sea turtles.

    ○  Bonus: The first 300 registrants will receive a free commemorative reusable water bottle, and all finisherswill earn a medal!

This exciting two-day event kicks off Friday night with free entrance to Sea Turtle Inc. during packet pickup. The early morning kick-off of the Kemps Krawl running events. This will also be the inaugural year of overall winner awards and age group awards.
